About Nurtured Ground

Imagine a small seed in the palm of your hand, sweaty from your tight grasp as you walk it to a pile of dirt. You look up and notice it’s about to rain so you identify it as the perfect time to plant. You decide to take a garden shovel, dig a shallow hole, and add a handful of compost.

Noticing the spacing, and direction of the sun as it hits the spot reassures you of its place. You place the seed ever so carefully in the soil, despite your fear of nothing growing, of the weather turning, of all the elements working against this seed, you plant it. Right there.

Nurtured Ground aims to provide individuals a sanctuary for exploration, cultivation, and growth…to face all elements, knowing one is rooted strongly in a safe space.

Meet the Founder

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, accredited EMDR practitioner, trained in Flash Technique, SandPlay Therapy, Somatic Experiencing and Postpartum Mental Health and Perinatal Loss. I volunteer as a New Jersey coordinator for Postpartum Support International, a non-profit I support wholeheartedly.

Running a practice that feels like home, I’m able to bring all of myself to the work I do. I’ve learned that mental health is a winding road, one that tests and strengthens you. I’ve learned that good people are always there, showing up when it matters most, and that recognition of your own strength is what truly matters. Often, a walk outside can almost always soothe an overwhelmed mind. I’m here to walk with you on the path toward deeper self-awareness

Today, my path is lit by my family—my husband, our children, and the ever-evolving landscape of my own journey. And here I am—walking this path with grounded purpose, ready to help others find their way back to themselves through the transformative power of connection. When not working, I enjoy reading, singing, biking, gardening, adventur-ing outside with my family and backpacking/camping when I can. A handmade bouquet of flowers or picture drawn by my kids is the key to my heart.
